AidFone is the first solution designed to walk with your loved one.
Designed by a caregiver.
"I have 10 years of professional experience in senior care — from home care and assisted living to long-term care and memory care units. I thought I'd seen it all."
"Then my 93-year-old mother — who still drives and manages her own banking — found herself unable to use a smartphone. I tried every solution on the market, but nothing worked. So I built AidFone."

Céline, 93 — the reason AidFone exists.
Frequently asked questions
What is AidFone, in one sentence?
AidFone is an adapted phone app that does two things at once. For the aging parent, it provides a simplified phone whose home screen adapts to their physical, cognitive, or visual condition. For the remote caregiver, it acts like an on-site assistant — helping to protect the parent through built-in safety features and alerts, while giving the caregiver a remote dashboard to manage settings and track changes over time.
Will my parent use AidFone?
Yes. We strip away the confusion of a regular smartphone. YOU pick the home screen that fits your parent — we guide you through the process. Button type, number, size, and color all adapt to their condition. Your parent gets one fixed screen and can't change any setting. Everything is managed from your dashboard. No learning required.
How can I help an aging parent who refuses to use a smartphone?
Most refusals come from confusion, not stubbornness. AidFone removes the parts that cause anxiety: hidden menus, accidental swipes, scam calls, settings that change by themselves. Your parent gets one fixed home screen — dial pad or large buttons (with or without photo contacts), 911 button, AI voice assistant — and can't break anything. When the device finally feels safe to use, the refusal goes away. Try AidFone — free for 30 days.
How do I monitor an elderly parent who lives alone?
For the caregiver, AidFone is like an assistant always at your parent's side. The protection features push notifications and alerts to your phone, while the dashboard logs incoming, outgoing, and missed calls. The goal isn't surveillance — it's spotting changes that may signal a health issue. Their privacy stays intact.
Is AidFone compatible with iPhones?
Yes and no. The app installed on your parent's phone is compatible only with Android smartphones. However, as a caregiver, you can access your AidFone dashboard from an Android phone, an iPhone, or a computer running Windows or macOS.
How does AidFone protect my parent from phone scams?
AidFone blocks calls and texts from anyone not on the contact list you approved. Unknown numbers, robocalls, fake IRS or CRA agents, and grandparent scams never reach your parent's interface — they're routed to voicemail without your parent knowing. You listen to the messages from your dashboard and return only the legitimate calls.
What happens if my parent has a medical emergency?
Your parent presses the 911 button (on certain layouts) or the ASK button (on all layouts). The Voice AI Assistant places the requested call. If it can't understand the request, it triggers a cascade to the emergency contacts you've designated. After 2 unanswered attempts, the Assistant dials 911. Voice-based distress detection is in development — we'll notify you when it ships.
